Wrinkles are an integral part of growth. And if it is almost impossible to get rid of them completely, reducing their depth and visibility is a very real task.
To do this, you will need: an experienced cosmetologist, competent care, restoration and health support, as well as cosmetic procedures. If you follow all the points, youth will remain on your face for a long time.
When do wrinkles appear under the eyes?
The first signs of aging usually appear in the eye contour area. This is explained by the anatomical characteristics of this area: the skin here is very thin.
Depending on the causes of their appearance, wrinkles are divided into two types:
- Static (age-related).They are directly related to the biological aging of our body, so the subcutaneous fat layer thins, vascular tissue decreases and collagen fibers are destroyed. These wrinkles appear after 30 to 40 years.
- Dynamic (facial). They appear due to the motor activity of the orbicularis oculi muscle. Actively participate by smiling, closing your eyes, etc. Therefore, wrinkles around the eyes form already between the ages of 20 and 25.
Causes of wrinkles around the eyes
Wrinkles appear not only due to age and excessive facial expressions.
There are other reasons for this:
- From a constant incorrect facial position."Sleep wrinkles" may appear. This is especially common when a person sleeps with their face on the pillow.
- Insufficient hydration. The elasticity of the skin is provided by elastin and a collagen structure, which "breaks" with a lack of moisture.
- Eye sight problemsThey often cause eye strain and squinting, creating the preconditions for the appearance of early wrinkles around the eyes.
- Incorrect daily care. For this reason, the skin may not receive enough elements necessary to maintain youth.
- Stress. It affects a number of negative changes in the skin: it reduces the production of "beauty hormones", leads to the destruction of collagen and elastin, and also impairs blood circulation.
- Spectacular weight loss. The fat layer disappears and with it often useful microelements, tone and elasticity of the skin.
- Genetics.Dry skin type and the early appearance of wrinkles are inherited from our parents, just like eye or hair color.
- Photoaging. It's no secret that ultraviolet rays have a negative effect on the skin. If you do not protect yourself from them, pigmentation will occur and premature wrinkles will appear. Taking into account the anatomical characteristics of the skin around the eyes, it is the first to react to aggressive external factors.
How to get rid of wrinkles under the eyes: cosmetic procedures.
All procedures aimed at combating this aesthetic defect can be divided into two groups:
- Camouflage procedures (mesotherapy, biorevitalization, Botox, whitening). They help temporarily eliminate wrinkles and reduce their severity. The duration of the results of this type of cosmetic interventions is 6 months on average.
- Deep rejuvenation procedures. These include ultrasonic lifting, laser resurfacing, thread lifting, and chemical peels. These procedures aim for deep subcutaneous effects, stimulating cell renewal and the synthesis of collagen and elastin. The result can last 2-3 years.
All procedures have a number of contraindications, so before any manipulation, consultation with a cosmetologist is necessary.
mesotherapy
Mesotherapy is the injection of a complex of useful minerals, vitamins, peptides and amino acids under the skin. It is a common and gentle technique that allows you to deal with a series of imperfections: wrinkles, acne, stretch marks, scars.
After a course of procedures, the production of elastin and collagen is stimulated, the skin becomes hydrated, smooth, and a healthy complexion appears. In the eye contour area, mesotherapy effectively combats dark circles, bags, wrinkles, drooping upper eyelids and crow's feet.
Botulinum therapy
Botox is considered a "veteran" in the rejuvenation market. Botulinum toxin type A injections aim to eliminate dynamic wrinkles of the lower eyelid, in the outer corner of the eye ("crow's feet") and in the inner corner of the eye ("rabbit wrinkles").
The essence of the procedure is as follows: botulinum toxin is injected into the muscles, which relaxes them and smoothes the surface of the skin over them. It is the most effective procedure in the fight against wrinkles around the eyes, since it blocks the beginning of its action.
Biorevitalization
With age, the percentage of hyaluronic acid in the skin decreases and, as a consequence, tone is lost, wrinkles and a tired appearance appear. Biorevitalization is one of the favorite and popular procedures among patients because it is safe and its effect does not take long: a week after the injections, the skin cells begin to produce collagen and wrinkles begin to smooth out.
It is true that after these "beauty injections" minor side effects usually appear in the form of papules, swelling and redness, which disappear after a maximum of 3 days.
How to remove wrinkles around the eyes at home.
The priority task of home care products is to moisturize and nourish the skin. They will not eliminate dynamic wrinkles, but they can have a positive effect on fine wrinkles and sagging skin. Also an excellent addition would be the development and regular use of gymnastics techniques and facial massages.
Massage
Special simple complexes will help smooth facial wrinkles and prevent skin stretching.
Exercise 1.
- Lubricate the area around the eyes with cream.
- We place the index and middle fingers in different corners of the eye. It is advisable to slightly tilt the index fingers towards the center of the face to support most of the orbicularis muscle.
- Now you must close your eyes tightly and press the upper eyelid firmly on the lower eyelid. Your fingers should hold the skin and resist the temptation to squint.
- We close and open our eyes in this position 20 times.
Exercise 2.
- Place your fingers in the same position.
- Without raising our head, we look up and raise our lower eyelids as if we were squinting, and then relax them. Repeat 15 times.
Exercise 3.

Exercise 4.
